Bridging the race and class divide is a tall order – and a critical challenge for our movements. It requires that we dedicate time and space for serious analysis, open conversations, internal struggle and deliberate action. It requires that we carefully explore the centrality of race in shaping the history of this country and its institutions, the legacy of slavery and imperialism, and the persistence of ideas around white supremacy and cultural dominance.
