Claire Tran (they/she, Vietnamese-Chicana) is a movement strategist with over 25 years of experience in integrated voter engagement and community organizing campaigns. Claire has supported the launch of new political organizations, developed successful scaled-up field strategies, advised organizations on values-driven narrative strategy, and coached new directors and organizers. Previously, Claire was the Deputy Director of Organizing for the Frontline Campaign, a partnership between the Movement for Black Lives Electoral Justice Project, United We Dream, and the Working Families Party, and the Political Director for Asians for Ossoff & Warnock Georgia Senate Run-off Campaign. Claire served as the States Strategist for the State Power Caucus that brought together 22 organizations from 15 states to strategize to increase their scale, depth, and impact toward governing power. Claire brings their theater and film background to approach curriculum and facilitation creatively. Claire would like to thank John Fong (AYPAL: Organizing Asian Communities), who early influenced the need for power-building, democratic decision-making structures, and creativity in community organizing. As a mom, Claire is motivated to support work that builds the multi-faceted power needed to sustain a governing agenda and create a just and equitable society for future generations.
